Another group project The Cold Facts

Project Aim: 

Our mission is to raise an awareness surrounding the deaths caused by cold winters amongst the elderly, in the UK. This has been linked to the lower incomes of the elderly community, alongside rising gas prices causing them difficulty in sustaining a suitably heated household. The statistics taken from the Office of national statistics show that every winter 200 excess deaths happen, every day.

Our ‘The Cold Facts’ campaign is a way to utilise our background as art and visual communication students, to help generate an awareness of the problems surrounding this issue. We plan to create use our background in printing and semiotics to create a symbolic print campaign that will hopefully affect an audience in a way that will be more memorable than a poster or newsletter campaign.
